1. Day One

We start our workshop at 7.00 am in the premier fish center of the Philippines and one of the largest in Asia, Navotas Fish Port, we will attend the fish market, its trading and hustle (we have a special permission)


12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m Lunch


We will walk 2 kilometres while photographing Navotas streets until our destination, Navotas Public Cemetery where we will photograph and talk to the people/families who live there in (we have been requested a special permission and pay a fee aimed to those families)


18.00 hrs, back to hotel, selection, edition and photography critic


21.00, dinner, beer






Day 2. Smokey Mountain


8.00-17.00hrs (for health and hygiene reasons we will take our food from outside)


Smokey Mountain is the largest dumpsite the poorest of the poor are making their livelihood by picking up a 20 mts high garbage where the residues have been accumulated for the last 50 years, most of the people working there are under 20 years old who scratch out in order to find something for recycling


(we have been requested a special permission and pay a fee aimed to those families)


A Filipino guide is provided


Interviews to the people are allowed, documentary and portraits photos


It is a must a full length pants, insects repellent, gumboots


18.00 hrs, back to hotel, selection, edition and photography critic

Day 3. Baseco Beach // Baseco


Baseco Beachthese is classified among the most polluted maritime areas in the world, near 200.000 people live around the beach in irregular settlements, Nowadays NGOs, school students, voluntaries... are cleaning Baseco Beach but still can be seen plastics, junks and all type of toxic materials all around it


From 8.00 to 17.00, we will have a lunch in one of the street food shop in Baseco Town


18.00 hrs, back to hotel, selection, edition and photography critic


21.00, dinner, beer

Day 4. Binondo



8.00 -17.00 hrs


Binondo s a district in Manila and is referred to as the city's Chinatown and is the world's oldest Chinatown


We will visit and photograph all around it, San Lorenzo Church, riverside...


18.00 hrs, back to hotel, selection, edition and photography critic


21.00, dinner, beer

Day 5. Pasay City




8.00 - 17.00 hrs

Day 6. Delta of Pasig River


Thanks to a good work Pasig river is nowadays cleaner than years ago, for years, this river, was seen as a huge dump for over 13 millions of people and in 1990 it was declared biologically dead


We will walk around its riverside and photograph its shanty houses settled there, after lunch we will tour inside Barangay Town to photograph its neighbourhood


18.00 hrs, back to hotel, selection, edition and photography critic


21.00, dinner, beer

Day 7. Manila Streets and Cock-fighting

COVID-19 VACCINATION

Due to the global pandemic situation and for a safe environment for all participants in the photography workshop, all those who sign up for the workshop must be vaccinated, proof of vaccination will be required.

Registration


1. Registration is done through online payment by PAYPAL or credit card.


2. The price includes the hotel (decent, comfortable and well located),

Airport-hotel-airport transfer

Daily meals in markets, street stalls and daily displacements.


3. Travel visa, insurance, air ticket and other travel costs are not included.


4. All participants are required to make payment within 5 weeks prior to the workshop via PAYPAL or credit card.


5. Full refund (minus transfer fees) if another participant takes the cancelled place, 50% refunded if there is no substitute to fill the cancelled place.
